Egyptian Human Rights Forum organised screening for short movie “ Sara” that we produced in collaboration with Video journalist Hossam Elsayad at the dissident club in Paris, France.
Sara” is a short film that sheds light on the lives of young Arab LGBTQ individuals in exile, inspired by the remarkable journey of Sara. After her arrest and imprisonment in Egypt, Sara Higazi’s tragic story resonates with others who share her struggle. Through heartfelt interviews, the film captures the profound impact Sara has had on this community, showcasing their resilience and determination. “Sara” is a dedicated homage to her enduring spirit, a beacon of hope for those fighting for acceptance, and a testament to the power of unity and solidarity.
